Ive never really had the opportunity to tie my own bass flies so I sat down this morning and whipped up a great new Damsel Nymph that has really had it’s chance to shine not even hours out of the vise. I threw my pack on and headed down to the local state park in search of some post-spawn Largemouth. My first cast delivered a nice two pounder that absolutely destroyed my fly. A few casts later and I had landed 3 very healthy fish. I’m excited to mess around with different fly patterns to see what these guys will eat. Not only do they hit hard, they fight like trains!
