Lately I have been fishing all around town. The rivers are fishing well with little to no run off at all. I was getting tired of the sucker spawn crashing my rainbow party however and decided to chase some warmwater fish on the fly. To my delight, the fish cooperated and I ended up landing three small largemouths and a decent bluegill in about an hour or two. The fish didmt even respond until I tied on the ol’ Black Woolly Bugger. First cast to a nice stand of cattails put me on a very healthy largemouth that fought very good for his size( he even jumped a few times for me). I highly reccomend to go out and chase some different species near you in the coming weeks when runoff becomes more violent( that is if we even have a runoff). Tight lines!
