Stream Flow: 105.7 CFS.

Bugs: Heavy PMD hatch in early morning (7-9 am) with light hatches of small tan caddis throughout the day becoming heaviest in the      evening.(4-6pm). Golden stones are starting to show up along with a few late Salmnflies throughout the day. Aquatic worms and midge’s are also present and the fish feed heavy on PMDs and Midge Pupa throughout the day.

Flies: Best luck has been on Hopper/Dropper combos with various patterns for  Hoppers we use Amy’s Ants size 6-8, Charlie Boy Hoppers in Tan and Yellow size 8-10, and PMX Yellow size 8-10. For Droppers a Black Zebra midge size 16-18 or an Olive Quill Body Nymph size 12-14 produce hits most often. During the PMD hatch a Barr’s Emerger, a Wonder Wire PMD, or a Rootbeer Emerger will get hit.

Holding: Find fish behind Boulders or in the riffles in the shallow water. Some fish can be found feeding suspending in the deeper holes too.

Weather: Fishing is best when the sun is shining in early afternoon or after a light rain.

Wild Life Viewing: Many Big Horn Sheep once you get into the canyon. Mule Deer are often seen crossing the trail or river.Lots of colorful butterflies and birds as well.
